Merlin’s Beard!
Hogwarts: Legacy was a highly anticipated open-world RPG game that transports players to the magical world of Harry Potter. Developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the game feels like a Ubisoft Assassins Creed’s game but with wizards, as it offers a massive open world to explore.
For fans of the Harry Potter franchise, Hogwarts: Legacy is a dream come true. The game is filled with small references to the books that are amazing and put a smile on your face. The game gives you the nostalgia of the original Fable game by Microsoft, especially running through the streets of Hogsmeade. The characters are incredibly well-written, and you’ll quickly fall in love with them.
Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus!
The main storyline of the game is intriguing and intertwines itself into the experience as a whole. You’ll find yourself getting lost in the world, exploring every nook and cranny and engaging with the NPCs. The music is exceptional and adds an extra layer of immersion to the game.

The Things that Should Not Be Named
However, the game is not without its flaws. The character animations can be a bit stiff, and some of the textures are not as detailed as they could be. The game also suffers from occasional bugs and glitches that can disrupt the flow of the gameplay. These flaws are minor and nothing is perfect. The pros overweigh the cons by far.
Wingardium Leviosaaaaaa…
One of the most impressive aspects of the game is the way each spell and ability has a specific purpose and function within the game’s mechanics. For example, some spells may be used to explore the world, while others may be used to defeat enemies in combat. Additionally, the game’s RPG elements, such as character customization and skill trees, work seamlessly with the spellcasting mechanics to create a truly immersive experience. My favourite combination was to freeze enemies with Glacius then using Diffindo to strike the killing blow – causing the enemy to explode in shatters of ice. Some enemies require you to use certain utility spells to make them vulnerable for attack. You cannot just throw the kitchen sink at them and expect it to work.
Newt Scamander would be proud!
One aspect of the game will involve encountering various magical creatures, or “beasts,” and learning how to interact with them. Initially I thought this is just a silly part of the game for player who want to collect the beast like Pokemon for their collection. I was wrong, very wrong. These beasts serve a variety of purposes, such as providing transportation, acting as allies in battle, serving as obstacles to overcome or providing resources for you to upgrade your equipment. Some beasts may also be captured and studied as part of the game’s gameplay mechanics. Overall, the inclusion of beasts in Hogwarts Legacy adds an immersive and magical element to the game, allowing players to fully immerse themselves in the Wizarding World.

Conclusion
Overall, Hogwarts: Legacy is an impressive game that will satisfy any fan of the Harry Potter franchise. With its large open world, well-written characters, and exceptional music, the game is an enjoyable experience that will keep you engaged for hours. Despite its minor flaws, Hogwarts: Legacy is a must-play for any Harry Potter fan.

I solemnly swear that i am up to no good!
Achievements
One Achievement I am chuffed at getting was the Raising Expectations trophy. For this achievement, you need to get a combo score of 100. This can sound daunting, thinking of how perfect you must fight to not get hit once.
In order to easily earn this trophy, all you need to do is find an Inferi enemy. These are the enemies that can only be killed by using fire spells. The catch is while attacking an Infer – even if not doing any damage – still counts towards your combo score. Thus, use spells like Levioso to keep the Inferi in the air and attacking them is a very easy way of keeping them at bay and getting to that easy 100 combo score.
I know this hack (for the lack of a better word) is probably all over the internet, but for more to solve this on my own was a small pat on the back.
