Red Flag

Red Flag

Whispers of doubt, shadows that creep,
Words left unsaid, secrets we keep.
Promises broken, trust fades away,
Love turned to silence, nothing to say.

Jealousy flares, anger untamed,
Innocent moments twisted, blamed.
Control in disguise, freedom at bay,
Tears on the pillow at the end of the day.

I searched for the fault, the cause of the pain,
Blaming the cracks, the storm, the rain.
But in the reflection, it’s clear to see,
The red flag at the end was me.
