Polygraph Heart
Polygraph Heart

Polygraph Heart

My love was put to the test,
With a polygraph machine.
My heart beat in my chest,
I tried to keep them clean.

But the questions asked,
Were too much for my heart.
I couldn’t keep up the facade,
And our love fell apart.

The polygraph eyes watched me,
As I tried to hide our lies.
But the truth was plain to see,
In my quivering, trembling sighs.

I couldn’t hold back the tears,
As the test continued on.
Our love was once so strong,
But now it was gone.

The polygraph eyes revealed,
As my entire world fell apart and die,
Our love was just a dream,
And now we have to say goodbye.

Who controls your heart strings? Who controls your mind? Are you your own person or someone’s puppet?
Sometimes, we’re puppets and we haven’t the slightest clue.
